07.09.2026 – Seasoned finance executive with a track record in project finance and large-scale raising joins to lead financing for Kvasir’s first commercial plant and its next major equity round.

Kvasir Technologies, a Danish deep-tech company building a first-of-a-kind commercial plant, today announces the appointment of Mike Christiansen as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), latest effective 1 October 2026.
Mike joins Kvasir at a pivotal moment in the company’s growth and will lead its two defining financial missions: setting up the financial model and designing its financial architecture end to end across equity, debt, project finance, and grants, to leading Kvasir’s Series B fundraise and developing the long-term capital plan that supports the company’s path toward commercialisation.
“Mike brings exactly the combination of experience we need at this stage of Kvasir’s journey: he has raised significant capital in deep-tech and has structured project financing for large infrastructure assets. That combination is rare, and it is exactly what it takes to close financing for our first commercial plant while building the capital story for our Series B and beyond. We are excited to welcome Mike to the team,” says Joachim Bachmann Nielsen, CEO & Tech founder of Kvasir Technologies
Mike joins Kvasir Technologies from Copenhagen Atomics A/S, where he has served as CFO since 2021, responsible for the company’s capital base including equity capital raises and non-dilutive funding, and where he successfully raised more than EUR 90 million.
“Kvasir is building something that hasn’t been built before, and that means the financing playbook doesn’t exist yet either. That’s precisely the kind of challenge I find most rewarding: building the financial architecture for a first-of-a-kind project from the ground up, while shaping the capital story that will take the company through Series B and toward a market-defining outcome. I’m looking forward to partnering with Joachim and the team,” said Mike Christiansen, incoming CFO of Kvasir Technologies.
